Gingrich Soaring in SC
Similar to the surge that Santorum saw in Iowa, Gingrich, based on his debate performance and an army of surrogates in South Carolina, is resonating with voters in the Palmetto State. We traveled to South Carolina to meet with the candidate and his family to learn of his plans to engage evangelical voters.

More importantly, he plans to create a policy staff, with well known evangelical supporters, who will have an active role in his administration if he is elected President. To date, that is a novel idea, and one likely to be well received by evangelical voters, who at times, feel they are only engaged at the time of elections.

Iowa Caucuses Once Again Impacted by the Evangelical Vote  
Redeem the Vote reaches thousands with message 

Montgomery, AL – Redeem the Vote (RTV), a non-partisan and non-profit organization that travels across the country engaging American’s in the political process was fully engaged during the Iowa caucuses. Redeem the Vote distributed an email to almost 750,000 evangelical voters in Iowa prior to the January 3^rd caucus vote suggesting that Rick Santorum was currently surging in the polls by “engaging voters daily and speaking to their concerns”.

We work very hard in every election encouraging Americans to become involved in the political process and, for those who already participate, to do more,” said Dr. Randy Brinson, chairman and founder of Redeem the Vote. “We had a great impact in the 2004 elections with President Bush, and again in 2008 for Governor Huckabee, but our goal has always been to build on these successes each election by engaging even more people of faith in the process.”

During the election, including the primaries, RTV travels across the country on its “Gold Bus Tour” registering youth and people of faith. Redeem the Vote has been endorsed by the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) as an official partner in registering voters throughout the United States. The most recent email campaign in Iowa was featured on Fox News as being one factor in Rick Santorum’s success with voters as runner-up to Mitt Romney by only 8 votes.

Redeem the Vote will continue to have a presence in key battleground states registering voters prior to the primary and general election deadlines, while also continuing to encourage all Americans –regardless of political party – to vote on election day.
